Wow! That about sums up our experience at the first ever Epic Music Showcase! We were honored to have been voted into the event in the first place and Hannibal really showed up to support it! We had an absolute blast playing alongside some of the area's top band! Our hats go off to George Cate, Hindsight, All's Forgotten, and The Pimpkatz! They all rocked... Hard! The even would not have been possible without the efforts of Midwest Music Mayhem, The Hannibal Jaycees, Dana Powell, Robbie Albright, Steve Anderson, Chris Harsell, and every single person who entered the gate that day! THANK YOU ALL! Rumor has it that this will become an annual event so that means you all have to be sure to vote us back into it again next year!
As for the rest of this summer, we have a few shows possibly brewing up, but nothing set in stone yet. This is honestly the first time in the history of the band that we haven't loaded up the summer schedule with gig after gig after gig. There are a few contributing factors... The main one being the craziness that is trying to work around everyone's schedules. We will keep you all posted, of course, as to when we do plan to hit the stage again. Until then, we'll continue working on our new original tunes and some more new covers like the one we unveiled last night (Ozzy's "No More Tears").
Last thing: We've been tossing around the idea of getting into a recording studio later this year. We would LOVE to be able to get our original music onto a CD and available on iTunes for you all to rock out to in your cars, homes, and wherever else you blow out your eardrums! This does, however, require some serious funds... So, until we raise that kind of money, we'll continue slaving away at what we love! Be sure to click "like" below this blog entry to help spread the disease that is NOWAKEMUSIC.COM! Thanks again everyone!
