We have released some videos lately to help promote both the new album and our live show. Head over to YouTube and check them out! Just search "NOWAKE Gone" to see the latest (a lyric video for "Gone" cut by our bassist, Ryan). It should enable the autoplay feature and will roll out a bunch of the other vids after that. It is also at the bottom of this post. Hope everyone is having an awesome summer. I know we are! We played Kansas for the first time as well as The Firebird in St. Louis and a bunch of other great venues! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up with all our shows, songs, news and shenanigans... Here is Sean giving some insight into "Gone": "I wrote this song while I was away from my wife and daughter in 2014 for 13 weeks at Columbia Fire Academy. It was a way of dealing with the separation from them at the time. I knew it needed to be an acoustic song to capture the feeling of that time, so we recruited Austin Birkhead (who was not a permanent fixture in the band at that time) to lay down the acoustic tracks in the song as he plays an acoustic like nobody's business! He went on to play the second half of the solo as well. Our producer on this album (Scott Donegan) did an excellent job of capturing the emotion in my opinion. If you like the song, please consider downloading either just the single or this entire NOWAKE album on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3, CDBaby.com or wherever you get your music at these day. Thanks to Ryan Brent Gilmore for cutting the lyric video for us! Turned out very simple and clean just like I envisioned it! Oh, and Tank even has a cameo in it LOL. And who knows, maybe we can cut an official music video for it someday..."

We also officially announced a lineup change. Ben Spurgeon took a promotion with his company which required him to relocate. He will play one more show with the band (Epic Music Showcase).
Joining us are guitarist Austin Birkhead (right) and bassist Ryan Gilmore (second from right). We want to thank Ben for many great years of shows, music writing, etc. and we want to welcome Austin and Ryan to the group! Here's to many more years! Be sure to check it out by clicking the link in blue above and show Shane Presley some love for all that he does for local music! Also, we will be featured in Central Mo News later this month as well. Included will be an in-depth interview with Sean about the music on the new album. Go check this page out as well as they bring lots of attention to bands in the Missouri area. We hope that you all really enjoy the album as much as we have enjoyed recording it. It's a labor of love and it's what we love to do! It will be for sale iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon MP3, as well as a lot of other places. And don't forget, you can get it in CD form from any of us at the Album Release Party or any time afterwards by contacting us. As we start this new year, we wanted to give an update on everything we've got going on. Here's what's up with NOWAKE: We are closing in on completion of the studio portion of our upcoming album (entitled "An Act of Defiance"). Our producer, Scott Donegan, has done some amazing things with our tracks and we cannot wait to release it! We have tested out a few of the songs at recent shows (Fubar in St. Louis and the Mark Twain Brewing Co. show). We've gotten some great feedback and we know you will all love this album as much as we do! We are currently locking in on some big shows in the Hannibal and Columbia regions with a few more on the wings as well... Possibly in the St. Louis area and others! We will be making those announcements on our Facebook page in the coming weeks and will get them up on the "Shows" page shortly after. Overall, we find it hard to believe that 2017 will mark our 10TH YEAR AS A BAND! We've played for some great crowds, rocked alongside some amazing bands, and made some great friends along the way. Here's to another great year, NOWAKE Nation! Thanks for all your support and stay tuned for new on the album release this winter! We have begun working on the next album! We have a graphic designer working on the album artwork and everything is coming together as it should! Look for big updates regarding this sophomore EP in the coming weeks! To us, the material sounds like a mix of Breaking Benjamin, Rev Theory, Velvet Revolver, and Godsmack. But, we really can't wait to hear the feedback from YOU! Thanks for supporting us over the years so we can achieve these big milestones!
Quick catch up session: We recently rocked Fubar in St. Louis, MO. We got to play in the rain at L-Treyns in Keokuk, IA. Both were debuts for us at those locations and we hope to play them both again once the new album drops! Be sure to catch us alongside our brothers in rock, Flatftoot Reed, and St. Louis giants, Fivefold, this November at the Mark Twain Brewing Company (more details to come)!!! As August winds down, we reflect on this summer of '16. It's been a great one with some great gigs! But now, we will be FINALLY hunkering down and recording this next album! We've got 5 of 6 songs ready to go and with a little more work, song 6 will get the green light as well! Stay tuned, NOWAKE Nation!
